Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Chemical Peels (Series of 2).

You may notice brighter, smoother skin within a week after the first peel; most clients see significant improvement after the second treatment. Full results develop over 2–6 weeks as skin regenerates and pigmentation continues to fade.

Most clients describe mild tingling, warmth or brief stinging during application. Discomfort is typically short-lived; topical numbing or calming serums can be used. Post-treatment sensitivity and redness subside within days with recommended aftercare.

Each session usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes, including consultation, cleansing, peel application, neutralization, and soothing aftercare. Exact time depends on peel strength and any add-on treatments for a careful, results-focused experience.

Common temporary effects include redness, flaking, and increased sensitivity for several days. Rarely, pigmentation changes or irritation can occur. We perform skin assessments, recommend pre/post care, and may do a patch test to minimize risks and ensure safe outcomes.

Ideal candidates seek improvement in sun damage, acne scars, uneven tone, or fine lines. Those with recent isotretinoin use, active infections, or certain skin conditions may not qualify. A consultation and skin assessment determine suitability and a personalized peel plan.

Prepare by avoiding retinoids, strong exfoliants, and prolonged sun exposure for one to two weeks. Use daily SPF, stay hydrated, and arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Your esthetician will provide specific pre-care steps based on your skin type and goals.
