Get answers to common questions about Blemish Battling Facial.
Yes—with precautions. We perform a thorough consultation and patch test, then customize concentrations and soothing steps. Sensitive skin clients receive lower-strength salicylic or enzyme protocols with calming serums to minimize irritation while still targeting blemishes.
Most clients see mild redness or light peeling for 24–72 hours. We use calming masks and post-care products, and recommend sunscreen and gentle cleansing. Makeup can be applied once irritation subsides, usually the same day or the next, depending on sensitivity.
Results often appear after the first session, but a recommended series of four to six weekly treatments delivers the best clarity. After initial course, maintenance facials every 4–8 weeks help prevent breakouts and sustain balanced, healthier skin.
Always inform your dermatologist and our esthetician about prescription topicals. We coordinate treatments and may adjust or omit benzoyl peroxide or retinol during your facial to prevent adverse reactions while still providing effective exfoliation and calming benefits.
We do not recommend retinol and high-dose benzoyl peroxide during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please disclose pregnancy status; we'll offer pregnancy-safe enzyme and salicylic alternatives or defer certain ingredients and consult your provider when needed.
Follow a gentle home routine: mild cleanser, hydrating moisturizer, and broad-spectrum SPF daily. Avoid active exfoliants for 3–7 days, resist picking, and use salon-recommended products. Schedule follow-ups as advised to maintain progress and prevent new blemishes.
